Supporting the local community

Happy Sunday you all lovely people!

Here, at Silvia Designs, we love to support the local community by contributing to charitable causes as we believe that together we are able to achieve so much more!

We are very excited to share with you what we’ve been up to last week as we had the incredible opportunity to support a local Lanarkshire charity organisation – Baby Loss Retreat and meet with its founders Julie & Bryan Morrison. Their main mission is to support parents, who cope with the emotional & psychological pain and grief of baby loss and miscarriage by providing families with one-to-one counselling sessions, support groups and therapies to talk about their painful experience as well as offering them peaceful visits to their unique tranquil cabin, where parents are able to spend time together, relax with each other and find the support they need while trying to overcome what happened to them.

For all of this and so much more, we believe that Baby Loss Retreat can give anyone affected by pregnancy and baby loss a safe, supportive and friendly environment to share their experiences and feel that they are not alone in this most difficult time.

Aiming to raise awareness for Baby Loss and raise funds for their organisation, in the beginning of July, the founders of Baby Loss Retreat are taking the challenge to walk the John Muir Way, which is 134 miles coast-to-coast walk and we at Silvia Designs are proud and honoured to have had the opportunity to sponsor them with hiking equipment such as sleeping bags, boots and waterproof jackets.

For more information about Baby Loss Retreat and their campaigns, please check out their website and social media platforms, where they post regular pictures, videos and updates of their exciting coast-to-coast fundraising walk!

We are always excited to take part in opportunities that bring us closer together as a community and we would like to thank Baby Loss Retreat to allow us to be part of their Still Walk Fundraising Campaign!
